Metatarsal Pad - Cookie Shape
Product Details
Brand: Performance Health
This Metatarsal cookie pad is a wider, dome shaped or anatomical foot cushion designed to support the metatarsal arch and relieve ball-of-foot pain.
Key Features & Design
- A rounded, cookie-like contour that lifts and gently separates the metatarsal heads to redistribute weight.
- Typically made from dense 100% natural wool felt or shock-absorbing rubber/gel.
- Features a self-adhesive base so it stays securely positioned inside dress, casual, or athletic shoes.
- Commonly available in sizes like 5/16" or 1/4" and sized for men, women, or pediatric use.
Conditions It Treats
- Aching or inflammation in the ball of the foot.
- Reduces localized friction and pressure behind the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toes to help skin heal.
- Offloads stress from sensitive forefoot nerves and bones.
Placement Instructions
- Place the pad just behind the ball of the foot (at the metatarsal neck), never directly on top of the prominent metatarsal heads or open wounds.
- You can stick it directly onto the shoe's insole or underneath a removable liner for a smoother feel.
